[ASA] ASKAP opening webcast

Senator Chris Evans, Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research, will officially open CSIRO’s newest radio telescope, the Australian SKA Pathfinder, on 5 October.

The event marks the completion of the construction of ASAKP's 36 twelve-metre dishes and the start of commissioning.

The opening ceremony will be webcast from 12 noon Western Standard Time (2 pm AEST) and will run for about an hour.
