[ASA] AIP Congress 2012 - extended abstract deadline 16 July

The deadline for submission of abstracts for the 20th AIP Congress, incorporating the Australian Optical Society Conference and the 37th Australian Conference on Optical Fibre Technology (UNSW, 9-13 December 2012) has been extended to Monday 16 July (4 days away!)
Apart from a wide range of Australian physicists, the incorporation of ACOFT will attract specialists working on diverse research applications of optical fibre technology.
Brian Schmidt will be one of the Plenary speakers.  
Astronomical presentations will be collected into a special session.  
Other sessions such as Physics Education may also be of interest to ASA members.
Please consider this opportunity to engage with the wider Physics community.  The UNSW location will be convenient for many Sydney-based astronomers.
