Open to candidate with a good Hons degree in science to undertake research 
studies leading to a PhD; the project is to explore the mechanism(s) of 
p14ARF tumour suppressor action by identifying novel p14ARF-interacting 
partners; $22,000 pa; 1 year, may be renewed for 2 more years; applicants 
must be citizens or permanent residents of Australia.

Postgraduate Scholarship on ARM and Cataract Surgery
Open to candidate with an MBBS and enrolled in MMed (Ophthalmology) for 
2004; the project is to determine the risk of developing age-related 
maculopathy (ARM) in patients who have undergone cataract surgery; the

Centre for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology (CIDM)  Public Health
