Open to candidate with an honours degree in Science (or an equivalent) to 
undertake research studies leading to a PhD in Developmental Physiology; 
previous experience with real-time PCR and manipulation of pre-implantation 
embryos is essential; $20,000 pa until 31/12/05; may be renewed for a 
further 6 months; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of 
Australia.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Computer Science
Open to candidate with a good honours degree in Computer or Information 
Technology or an equivalent qualification to undertake research studies 
leading to a PhD in Computer Science; applicants should have a particular 
interest in Biomedical Web-based Applications, Picture Archiving and 
Communication system (PACS), and multimedia networking in telemedicine;

CRC for Greenhouse Accounting PhD Scholarships
PhD scholarships are available to outstanding applicants for specific 
research topics; the proposed research topic must fall within the central 
goals of the CRC; $18,009 pa; operating grant of $5000 pa + $5000 is held 
in reserve to fund attendance at the Annual Science meetings of the CRC and 
education purposes; 3 years; international students should note that they 
will be liable for the full fees associated with their course.

Asthma PhD Research Scholarships
Supplementary ("top-up") scholarships providing a sum of up to $10,000 pa; 
includes $2,500 p.a. for the student's supervisor to assist with 
maintenance costs that are directly related to the student plus conference 
and travel assistance. $5,000 for use at holder's discretion; PhD projects 
should be related to biological sciences, biochemistry and cell biology, 
clinical sciences, medical and health sciences, other medical and health 
sciences, pharmacology and pharmaceutical sciences, public health and 
health services; applicants must be citizens of Australia.

Postgraduate research grants are available to outstanding applicants; the 
proposed research topic must fall within the central goals of the CRC; 
prospective applicants must be accepted for postgraduate study at an 
Australian university and should normally be likely to receive (or already 
in receipt of) an APA, IPRS or equivalent scholarship; up to $5000 pa.

Local Government Managers Australia (LGMA) Research Grants Program
The National Council of LGMA is seeking research proposals from researchers 
who can demonstrate an understanding of local government and whose research

scholarships may be awarded at the maximum value of $6,000.
