PhD Scholarships in Ovine Johne's disease (OJD)
4 scholarships are available across the areas of immunology, genomics, 
proteomics and molecular microbiology; applicants should have an Honours 1 
or 2A in Science, Animal Science or Veterinary Science or equivalent; 3 
years @ $25,000 pa; applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of 
Australia.

Australian Postgraduate Award  Industry (APAI) in Ornamental Plant Breeding
Open to candidate to undertake research project leading to a PhD; 
applicants should have an Honours 1 or 2A degree in agricultural science or 
biological sciences; experience/background in plant breeding would be an 
advantage; 3 years @ $23,294 pa; applicants must be Australian citizens, 
Australian permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens.

Wenkart Foundation Postgraduate Medical Grants
Open to candidate be involved in an initial post graduate study; for 
research in any of the medical disciplines, human diseases and organ 
malfunctions, and in any associated scientific or sociological 
investigations; funding will depend on the expenses of the project.

National Archives of Australia Summer Scholarships
Open to 1st year Masters or PhD students whose studies include a major in 
20th century Australian history, politics, social studies, or similar 
subjects; to undertake research projects on a topic set by the Archives 
utilising the Archives' collection; travel costs, accommodation, meals and 
$300 per week for six weeks; applicants must be Australian residents 
studying in Australia.

Open to current PhD or Masters students (incl. research component) in 
Australian institutions in the field of Systematics or Taxonomy; financial 
support to travel to a national or international conference; relevant to 
research program in systematics or taxonomy and the Aims and Objectives of 
the ABRS; applicants must show that a poster or oral paper presentation has 
been accepted by the organiser of the conference; for international 
conference $1000 max; $500 for travel within Australia; applicants must be 
citizens or permanent residents of Australia.
