In late April, ANZ Met Soc will be hosting a virtual event with panel members to discuss the different career choices in the omic fields, mentorships and research opportunities, which is particularly suited for ECRs! More information will be sent out in the following weeks so watch this space.

ANZSMS29 Conference (Wollongong, NSW):
The Australian and New Zealand Society for Mass Spectrometry (ANZSMS) will hold their 29th biennial Conference 9 - 13 July, 2023 at the University of Wollongong, NSW. Our article spotlight this month is “Microbiota alters the metabolome in an age- and sex- dependent manner in mice”. This article was published in Nature Communications this month by Brown et al., where authors present a study on the the interplay between microbiota, age, and sex in the metabolic phenotypes of diverse body site in mice, which may guide future studies in microbiota and disease.
