[Limdep Nlogit List] Reading Excel data file

Hi all
What is the latest about reading Excel data file? Limdep reads Excel 
files previously prepared with Excel 2003. But when I saved an Excel 
2007 (.xlsx) file into Excel 2003 or Excel 5 (1995) limdep cannot 
read it. It generates the following error message:

--> read    ;file=e:\abc.xls $
   Error     9: READ - error or end of file occurs while reading data set.

Bottom line is limdep does not like anything from Excel 2007.

Any clues? Thank you.
