Dear Bill,
 
Thank you for your advice! I can work NLOGIT with more variables now. It seems that the program cannot read beyond its window (:o?). Typing the utility function on multiple lines works well.
I have downloaded winhlp32.exe but the help-function is still playing up. I'm looking forward to your update. Grrr for Vista.
