[Lighting Students] PhD scholarship at QUT

Hi all,

A colleague of mine at Queensland University of Technology has PhD scholarship available for somebody to study lighting design in hospital recovery rooms. Unfortunately, the deadline is very soon (in one week), but my colleague could help interested candidates with their applications. The project summary is:

This research will increase our understanding of lighting needs within shared hospital spaces and determine strategies to improve health outcomes for patients, and overall energy efficiency. Empirical data will be collected using lighting evaluation methodologies developed in two previous studies with different populations (office workers and older adults), including self-reported data (surveys), objective measures (personal lighting devices), and physical data (illuminance, luminance, high-dynamic range images). It will develop and test evidence-based lighting solutions using cutting-edge technologies, such as virtual reality, to significantly contribute to this critical area of hospital design.
