<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Nominations are now open for the 2026 Berenice and Arthur Page Medal awarded for excellence in amateur astronomy.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The prize is awarded every two years by the Astronomical Society of Australia (ASA) for scientific contributions by an amateur astronomer that have served to advance astronomy.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The award is open to amateur astronomers,
</span>defined as someone who does not use the field of astronomy as their primary source of income and does not have a professional degree or advanced academic training in astronomy.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">An email has gone out to all Australian amateur societies calling for nominations, and please feel free to share with your networks too.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b><span lang="EN-US">The closing date for nominations is Friday 25 November, 2025.<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">The winner will be announced at the National Australian Convention of Amateur Astronomers (NACAA), to be held 3-5 April 2026 in Tamworth and hosted by the
</span>Tamworth Regional Astronomical Club (TRAC)<span lang="EN-US">. The winner will be presented with their Medal and receive an Honorary Associate membership of the ASA.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
