<div>Please see the email below from IAU President, Willy Benz, encouraging applications to the annual <a href="https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/TooJCnx1jnimRkDjzu9fwtJCgqi?domain=iau.org">IAU PhD Prizes</a>. Each of the nine IAU Divisions has the opportunity to award
a PhD prize in the relevant subject area. To be eligible in the current round, candidates must have defended their PhD Thesis between December 16 2024, and December 15th 2025.</div>

<div>I also take this opportunity to highlight that applications for the <a href="https://url.au.m.mimecastprotect.com/s/eXDtCoV1kpfvyQYZMUzhltpHG77?domain=asa.astronomy.org.au/">ASA Charlene Heisler Prize</a> for the most outstanding PhD thesis in astronomy (or a closely
related field) accepted by an Australian university will open in December, with eligibility being PhD acceptance between the 1st of January and 31st December 2025.</div>
