        are pleased to enclose the annual call for proposals for
        International Teams hosted at the International Space Science
        Institute–Beijing (ISSI-BJ), jointly with our colleagues from
        the International Space Science Institute (ISSI) in Bern
        (Switzerland).</span><br style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">
      <p style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">
        International Teams are usually composed of 8–12 scientists from
        different institutes and nationalities, covering a wide range of
        expertise; a minimum of four nationalities is required. They
        hold two or three one-week in-person meetings at ISSI-BJ over a
        period of 12 to 18 months. International Teams work
        collaboratively on the analysis and interpretation of
        space-based data (ground-based data or theoretical modelling
        outputs may be included if they contribute meaningfully to the
        project’s scientific remit), with the eventual aim of publishing

          are assessed by the international joint ISSI/ISSI-BJ Science

          intending to submit a proposal for ISSI-BJ support are
          strongly encouraged to contact the ISSI-BJ team during their

      <p><span style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">Whereas
          ISSI-BJ is co-located with the Chinese National Space Science
          Center in Beijing, we are an international non-governmental
          organisation focusing on the exploitation of space science
          data and the planning for future space science missions. All
          ISSI-BJ-supported outputs are expected to eventually appear in
          the open scientific literature.</span><br style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">

        </span></p>
      <p><span style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">In
          recent years, the Chinese government has significantly eased
          visa requirements for many citizens from European and other
          Western nations. ISSI-BJ will provide logistics support in
          acquiring visas for those participants who still need them.</span><br style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">
        <span style="font-family:宋体, arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:14px;text-wrap-mode:wrap;">With
