<div class="">Title: Connecting gas and stars in galaxies</div>
<div class=""><br class="">

<div class="">Abstract: The aim of this PhD project is to advance our understanding of how galaxies work by developing state-of-the-art software tools to streamline the analysis of large datasets generated by integral field spectroscopy observations. This project
is part of CSIRO’s Industry PhD Programs.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Among other advantages, please note that this Scholarship offers:</div>

</div>
<div class="">- A stipend of $46,000 AUD per year for the student,</div>
<div class="">- A project Expense and Development package of $13,000 per annum (to used for traveling, collaborations, observations, computing…),</div>
<div class="">- A three month industry engagement component with the industry partner,</div>
<div class="">- A structured professional development and training program to develop applied research skills,</div>
<div class="">- Option for MRes Yr2 + PhD (4 years in total) also available.</div>

<div class="">This will be supervised by Baerbel Koribalski (CSIRO) and me (Macquarie University) in the research component, and a staff member of Ferrovial Construction Australia for the industry component.</div>
