<div class="">The ORCAS mission could provide ground based telescopes with high Strehl visible adaptive optics through use of an orbiting beacon. For example the 10m Keck telescope could achieve 10 milliarcsec spatial resolution at 500 nm.</div>

<span style="font-size: 12px;" class="">The ORCAS mission team is accepting White Papers describing breakthrough science cases that would utilize the proposed ORCAS (Orbiting Configurable Artificial Star) adaptive optics (AO) system with an instrument package(s)
for the W. M. Keck Observatory. For the first phase, we plan on a single conjugate AO system with a field of view governed by the isoplanatic patch.</span><br class="">

<span style="font-size: 12px;" class="">This is an opportunity to drive the science case for the mission and identify new WMKO instrument capabilities in support of the mission.<br class="">
