publication. We hope that this extension helps to reduce any difficulties with delays due to the ongoing global pandemic or otherwise. If you have any questions regarding the submission, feel free to contact us. The original announcement is copied below.</div>

<div class="">On behalf of the editorial board, including Australians Mike Ireland (ANU), Simon Ellis (Macquarie) as well as Joss Bland Hawthorn (U. Sydney) as lead editor, we would like to announce the Astrophotonics Joint Feature issue in JOSA B and Applied
Optics, with final publication anticipated for June 2021. Astrophotonics describes integrated photonics that are developed for applications in astronomy and astrophysics. Papers including theory, manufacturing, development, characterization, verification and
application of astrophotonics are welcome, and we invite you and your connections and colleagues to submit manuscripts. </div>
