This workshop will be based in Shanghai, China from October 30th to November 3rd, 2023. Limited funding is available to support international travel from Australia. We are also offering the option of attending an in-person hub in Perth, Western Australia. This format is designed to best support the goals of the workshop, which we intend to be different from a traditional scientific meeting.

The goal of this workshop is to foster collaboration and new scientific projects surrounding ongoing Cosmic Magnetism surveys. The format of the workshop will draw inspiration from the SKA Big Data Workshop (2019) and other Hackathons, with a focus on small group sessions to make real progress on new Cosmic Magnetism science. The workshop will begin with a limited number of talks on ongoing projects, and finish with summary presentations on what was achieved. There will also be opportunity for contributed talks during the smaller breakout sessions.

Through this workshop, we hope to further Cosmic Magnetism research surrounding the following surveys and projects:

  *   POSSUM
  *   GMIMS/PEGASUS
  *   QUOCKA
  *   RACS/ SPICE-RACS
  *   GLEAM / POGS
  *   VAST
  *   Radio stars
  *   Pulsars and FRBs
  *   Masers and Zeeman splitting
  *   Pipelines / Software development

We will be distributing more details closer to the workshop dates, but please feel free to reach out to SOC with any questions.

Cheers,
Alec Thomson, on behalf of the SOC
