The conference now has nearly 300 people registered, and is likely to be the second largest conference ever held (this the 25th ADASS Conference) with almost 90% being international delegates. If you haven't registered to attend but would still like to be involved the Conference Dinner is open to all. CONFERENCE DINNER The Conference dinner will be held on the Wednesday 28 October from 6:30pm at Sydney's iconic Luna Park, located under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience Sydney at night and will include a ride on the Ferris Wheel - the perfect opportunity network as well as to photograph Sydney's night sky line. The cost of the dinner is $100 and if you haven't already registered and paid please do so here or by reply email to Kylie Williams. Partners and spouses are most welcome to attend the dinner and the cost is $100/head. The ASA extends its support to survivors of sexual harassment and condemns harassment. Sexual harassment and sexism at scientific meetings and in the workplace are unacceptable. The Astronomical Society of Australia has a code of ethics that its members must adhere to (http://asa.astronomy.org.au/code_of_ethics.php) and a new anti-harassment policy for all ASA-affiliated meetings and events that has been developed over the past few months is attached, and will be uploaded to the ASA website shortly. The ASA Women in Astronomy and ECR chapters stand with the ASA Council in making the strongest possible stance against sexism and sexual harassment in the Australian astronomy community.
