Australian Nanten2 Meeting, University of Western Sydney

Feb 5-6, 2015

Registration is now open for the 6th Australian Nanten2 meeting, which will take place at the University of Western Sydney in Penrith on 5-6 February, 2015. The meeting website can be found at http://compais.scem.uws.edu.au/nanten2/index.html where full details are given, including registration, travel and accommodation.

Nanten2 is a 4m sub-mm telescope on the ALMA site in Chile, operated by an international university consortium lead by the Universities of Nagoya (Japan) and Cologne (Germany). Six Australian universities are members (UNSW, Adelaide, Macquarie, Swinburne, Sydney, UWS).

This meeting will cover topics in high frequency radio astronomy including the mm, sub-mm and THz domains, and not just the Nanten2 telescope. For instance, this includes science from the Mopra and HEAT telescopes. Contributions involving other high frequency radio telescopes, e.g. ALMA and APEX, are also invited.

All are welcome, there is no registration charge and you do not need to come from one of the Nanten2 consortium institutions. The on-water activity will this year involve white water rafting.

For further information on the meeting please contact Nick Tothill at n.tothill at uws.edu.au. If you would like to discuss a possible contribution to the program please contact Michael Burton at m.burton at unsw.edu.au.
